trees, trees, trees

i miss trees. i love the desert. and there are some trees here, but i miss those huge gangly branches above that blank out the sun...another world underneath the canopy. and the live oaks whose massive limbs sweep so low they touch the ground...and they have a certain amount of give to them that allows their stiff arms to still be swayed in the breeze...the most perfect natural swing for and afternoon snooze. these pictures are an ode to trees.

    We really missed trees when we were in Iowa. I heard from someone at the bakery you might be coming for a holiday visit this year :)
