guadelupe peak, baby!

highest peak in texas = 8625
a mild accomplishment for some. considering i haven't hiked in over a year, i conquered that rock.

my morning coffee companion and hiking side kick, Jennifer, who proceeded to RUN down the mountain.

from san francisco to half moon bay

here is the first video of a series of videos that i will be making with those thousand some odd photos. this one features sneakily taken candids of passers by in the haight ashbury district of san francisco, the floral and fauna of the botanical gardens, half moon bay and guil's airstream for travelers, and other stuff. this was an exhausting project. i'm going to take a nap now.

sorry for the delay

for those of you who actually read my blog and are curious about my trip to california and back:

1. photos will be posted soon...imagine sifting through hundreds of them and being as anal as i am about which ones to share.
2. life here in far west texas has been extremely busy since i've returned...the weather is changing so there are lots of hikes, desert crawling, river wading, sotol slugging nights to be had before those winds come roaring through.
3. and LOOK OUT CALIFRONIA because here i come in january. yes, tis true. i will be making sonoma county, california my new home next year. i have been accepted into the roots of herbalism program at CSHS.
nestled in the red wood forest of Emerald Valley, a mere 20 miles from Bodega Bay, lies the quaint town of Forestville, where the Russian River flows into the dark green Pacific, and the soil is so black and rich, everything thrives...as will I.

road trip warrior

hi all. i'm alive, and so is everything around me. except the mojave desert. i will have nightmares about that place. i loved california. i think i was in the bestest of places. now i'm in arizona, flagstaff to be precise, and this place is quite wonderful too. count down to the grand canyon.

almost 1000 photos later and i'm not even half way home yet...

hanging with the Roberts

ranch visit numero tres. this was a three day stay chock full of off roading, cave exploring, indian arrowhead and artifact hunting, a desperate search for a swimming hole, the pure desert night sky, the almost unbearable heat, and the Roberts, plus Paul and myself.

Ocotillo Ranch
if i had kids of my own i'd have all boys...probably four or more...but this one i want in particular.
