indian summer on the 1 acre

so i moved...again. since deciding to stay in california through the winter (yuck, not looking forward to it) i also thought is a good idea to stay warmer and dryer then a tent could provide. another temporary fix (i'll probably be relocating into the main house once the renovations are complete), but a very comfy, cozy converted bus that i would be happy staying in no matter how temporary. truly, it's the converted bus i always wanted.  i'm closer to the coast, a mere 2 miles, and it's drastically different from the tiny mountain top where i lived just a few miles inward. when it's cold and foggy inland, it's breezy and warm on the coast, and vice versa. the forecast calls for rain tomorrow, the first of many for the winter season. we were blessed yesterday with the most perfect indian summer days. here's the 1 acre homestead where my friends live, and now me and the pups, soon to be more (!!!)....a side announcement here; little miss aster tamarind seed has muffins in the oven, due in november some time.

elephant tree and aloe, hanging in there despite the humidity and wet

the last of the echinacea

sacred tobacco and mullein

varieties of apples....so delicious to just step outside and eat right off the tree for breakfast

feverfew, not to be confused with chamomile

sweat pea

bachelor's buttons

bamboo arbor

the rest of the property. it's amazing what you can do with just 1 acre.

blog name change

i've had my blog for soooo long, and felt a deep importance to slightly change the name. unfortunately, it's no longer the top link when my name is put in a google search. but it's for the better.
note the change: twirl has become whorl
