with so many artists and new mediums and critics only exposing certain names to the media, it's sometimes hard to sift through all the trendy crap and find the core of what is good art. here is one guy who puts a spin on portraiture, a task that so many attempt to conquer, and so little actually do so. Chuck Tingley doesn't just represent a person's face with paint...he listens...watches...sits back and observes...absorbs what he sees...and exposes those intangible essences of emotion that we all experience.
